Legend of the Seas– May 2, 2014–Copenhagen

Our transatlantic cruise had come to an end. It was not the end for us however, a we still had the Norwegian fjords to look forward to. We said goodbye to our friends the previous evening as they would be leaving the ship early.
After the ship was cleared we left soon after and took the local bus into the city. This was more or less a scouting visit to get a feel for the city and where everything was. It was very cold, but rugged up we decided to walk along the longest shopping street in the world (or so they say). This pedestrianised street has local and international shops – shoppers heaven really. We found a cafe for something to drink and the Wi-Fi on offer. Then we wandered around Nyhaven well known for its attractive buildings and boats moored in the canal.
We will see more of the sights when we return after Norway.

Banners everywhere advertising the Eurovision Song Contest. So when we return it will be even more busy
Selfies are still a mystery to me. Maybe one day I'll get it right!

Nyhavn, the famous cultural hub of Copenhagen. You will see a different view on our return visit

The changing of the guard happened to be on the route where we were catching the bus back to the ship
